Agnostic Alex O’Connor recently had Oxford mathematician and Christian apologist John Lennox on his Within Reason podcast to discuss the issues concerning God and science. It’s a thoroughly refreshing, thoughtful conversation between two individuals who have different worldviews yet still demonstrate much respect for each other.
Many topics are addressed, including the question of conflict between science and Christianity, why science needs God, evolution, our information-based world, the origin of life, God-of-the-gaps arguments, why people come to belief in God, scientism, current cultural views of Christianity, being open to questioning our beliefs, the nature of debates vs. discussions, and the problem of evil.
